From 1942, "MRS. MINIVER" tells the story of a quintessential middle-class British family as they navigate the dramatic onset and early years of World War II on the home front. Kay Miniver, the graceful and resilient matriarch, attempts to maintain a semblance of normalcy and comfort in their idyllic English village, despite the escalating conflict. The film depicts the everyday struggles and sacrifices of wartime Britain, from terrifying air raids and nights spent in a bomb shelter, to Kay's tense encounter with a downed German pilot in her own home.
